Beer Moose

  I mean seriously, why is there an alien on the roof? Anyway, welcome to another edition of Moose On The Loose! A feature where I travel somewhere to watch Cambridge United lose (spoiler alert) and then drown my sorrows. A visit to Notts County opened up a return to Nottingham for the first time in quite a while. We kick things off with some Castle Rock, who are one of my fave breweries. Proper pub The Vat and Fiddle is a brilliant pub. Pint of Black Gold mild and Mars Bar inspired stout Space Junk went down a treat as excitement built for the game.  Decent range  Tasty! We then made the short trip to the ground. It’s a nice ground for sure but the stewards here were difficult, power hungry perhaps. I was hungry for three points but after a game of mostly nothingness which you defo don’t want to lose, Cambridge found a way to lose 2-0.
