Winter Wonder Bland! Christmas Coasters In Norwich!

There can’t be many places in the UK that don’t have some sort of winter wonder bland event. I say bland because that’s what they are, most are full of the same over priced tat and pretended German sausages. If you’re lucky they might have a cred. Norwich has three coasters at their event this year! I needed two of them and Aaron need all three, so we headed down there.

Now before I sound too negative, we visited on a wet and cold Monday evening. That probably explains why the place was empty and all the staff were pretty miserable. Anyway, onto the coasters! We started with a ride on the spinning mouse (110):

A decent spinning mouse, amongst the many others I’ve ridden! Speaking to staff, they didn’t seem sure if the other two coasters would open. Therefore we opted to get some food. There were a few options, but we both chose the roast option.

Eating it was a messy affair but it tasted alright! Beer was (I assume) a pretend German beer. The tent you eat in had no atmosphere at all! No music, barely any lights and hardly any decorations!

After eating we managed to convince the man in charge of rides to open the other two coasters! I wasn’t going to leave without my two coaster credits!

Supermarket Weep - Lidl

It’s been a while, but Supermarket Weep is back! The series where myself and some ‘lucky’ guests, try supermarket own brand beer and beers brewed specifically for supermarkets. 2024 In Review & The Beer Moose Awards!

“Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time” sang Pink Floyd in 1973. They’re sort of right, each year feels shorter than the last. Phantasialand - My Happy Place

Using the phrase happy place makes me feel a bit cringe, but I don’t really know how else to describe how much I love Phantasialand. If I close my eyes and think about where I’d most like to be in the world Phantasialand and The Abbey come straight to mind, and I know which one I’d have more fun in at the moment! Ever since my first visit back in 2016 I’ve been in love with Phantasialand and it was time to return after a two year absence. I couldn’t wait for two full days at Phantasialand!
