Welcome to the second Asia Adventure blog! Apologies to the beer fans reading this as there isn’t going to be much about beer! If you stick around you’ll get to see some of my shame though, arguably that is much better than reading my beer takes.
The first park of our trip was Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park. It’s super easy to get to as it has its own metro stop. We arrived just before opening and were virtually the only people around. You pay a fee to enter and then also have to pay per ride with a card system. My credit card company are currently enjoying trying to get me a refund from this park. It’s a long story.
Whilst we waited for the park to open we checked out the information boards and enjoyed the excitingly named coasters that awaited us.

No time for an unknown journey |
 |
I was excited for overlapping rollercoaster |
With the park now open we headed towards our first cred!
761: Space Pulley
 |
Choo choo! |
Space Pulley is quite the name for mine train coaster! It was built by Jinma Rides who were formally known as Golden Horse. If you search for Golden Horse on any coaster forum you’ll likely find someone who’s only been to Alton Towers calling them a death trap. It was a decent mine coaster, though could have benefitted from some theming!
762: Crazy Skateboard
 |
Jordan having a zen ride |
I was expecting this to be spin like crazy (get it?) but thankfully it wasn’t too bad! Well except for how rough it was.
Ready for some shame? 763: Family Rollercoaster
 |
Me and Richard take flight! |
Yeah so that was a plus one and done plane thing.
764: Crazy Mouse
I was actually excited to ride this as it looks interesting!
 |
Cred selfie! |
It rode interestingly too! Thankfully it made it round the corners without falling off!
765: Fast Speed
I can’t wait for this one! It must be scarily fast right?
 |
Oh |
Top Speed 14.1mph (RCDB, 2025)
This park is currently constructing not one but two new coasters and luckily for you I took a photo of one of them!
We were denied this coaster for being too large. The staff member even did a little dance to highlight the fact we were not getting on.
 |
Denied. |
We then hopped back onto the metro and headed to Beijing International Sculpture Park, where the real shame began.
766: Fruit Worm Coaster
 |
Don’t worry it gets worse |
767: Little Roller CoasterLook back at we were denied and compare it to this… I mean really.
It was then time for food but not before we looked at the some sculptures!
 |
Culture |
We headed to a nearby mall for food, where we had our first encounter with a horrid QR code system. In China there is an app called We chat and it’s used for everything, you use it pay by credit card, order food, use a vending machine and even order coffee. We had no end of issues using this system as it is clearly not set up for international visitors. The main issue is that it is more often than not the only way to order and it just either rejected our cards or not translate to English. So ordering food was tricky at times but not impossible!
 |
Yum! |
Shortly after eating we tried to order a coffee from a coffee shop using we chat and were unable to. Therefore we jumped onto the metro and headed to more coasters. You can read all about that in the next part!
Thanks for reading and I’ll leave you with this.
